Well, I really should be packing right now, but I decided to do a quick entry before moving into my dorm.
Hmm, I really don't like my dentist right now... For the last week my gums have been bleeding when I brush. Now, they've bled before (bleeding while brushing isn't entirely uncommon), but it was somehow different. It's very painful to brush, and it actually bleeds for some time after brushing now. Well, what good timing that I had a dentist appointment yesterday! I made sure to express my concern to both the woman who cleaned my teeth, and my dentist. But neither seemed to care. They just blew it off, and the dentist even joked that it was my teeth telling me it was time for a checkup. If I end up getting gum disease, I'll be pissed! I've been to the dentist a hell of a lot in the last year, mainly because I had to get some fillings and my wisdom teeth removed (had to go to an oral surgeon for that). So dentists have had pleanty of chances and time to tell me if I'm showing signs of gum disease... Anyways, whatever. Who needs teeth anyways?
I'm resisting the urge to go on another Miyazaki rant, but I can't recomend enough that you download the new official US trailer of Princess Mononoke. I'm so glad that Miramax is pushing Princess Mononoke as the mature movie that it is. I just hope that they try to actually get the trailer shown before movies, and maybe even television. Miyazaki film festivals are popping up all over the country, and I suggest you check to see if there is one near you. I had heard that Miramax approached a local museum near me for a film festival, but unfortunately they had to decline because they already had plans made. Oh well. The soundtrack will be released on October 12th by Milan Records.
It's amazing how much bad television is out there. I was watching some stupid show hosted by Adam Corolla called "Red Handed." It's a sleazy show where people will 'set up' their 'friends' to embarrass them for no damn reason... Like if a person lies a lot, they'll have them be hired for a job they're not qualified for, and hilarity--of course--will ensue. Anyways, the girl in the segment I saw set up her boyfriend because she was pissed that he always looks at other women. So while she was shopping her boyfriend was waiting near the dressing rooms, and they had a beautiful woman change with the door open enough so that he could look in. Naturally he stole a few peeks, and he denied it when confronted by his girlfriend. Well no shit! I'm not trying to excuse his actions or anything, but women need to understand that just because a guy looks at a woman it doesn't mean that he doesn't find you attractive or desireable. But aparently this show is tasteful compared to some others coming down the pipe. Supposedly there's a show where people who suspect their spouse is cheating can have the show 'bust' the cheater. Complete with a angry/violent confrontation. It's nice to see one person's breakup can be someone else's entertainment. God bless syndicated TV!
Well, so much for a short entry. Next entry will be from my very own dent-in-the-wall from college, I'll see you then.
