Thursday September 30th, 1999: SNOW!
My god... All of a sudden summer is over and it's cold as fuck! It might even snow this weekend! It's really beautiful here, though. Seeing all the leaves turning on the campus mall is one of the reasons this is my favorite season.

How werid... Panzer Dragoon is one of my favorite games of all time. The artwork, story, music; it's all so vivid and surreal. People would tell me that "Moebius" did some artwork for Panzer Dragoon. I didn't know who he was at the time (he's a French artist), but I was interested in seeing more of him. Well, imagine my surprise when I see this quote in Hellen McCarthy's new book about Miyazaki, "Jean Giraud, the French artist better known as Moebius, a friend and admirer of Miyazaki..." Isn't that weird, how three of my favorite things are interlinked like that? Supposedly Moebius even did some artwork (posters, etc.) for Nausicaa back in the 80s. I'm going to try to get my hands on some comics by Moebius, he seems really cool.

Speaking of Miyazaki (this is probably getting really old now, huh?), my Princess Mononoke-related purchases is almost complete. I've got the Princess Mononoke art-book, the Miyazaki book, and the beautiful Princess Mononoke wall scroll. All I need know is the soundtrack, which should ship in October, woo!

Hmm, I'm a little bummed right now, though. One of my favorite sites, moan, has closed down! It was a rant site run by a woman who had some funny and interesting things to say. Oh well, one less thing to distract me from studying, right?

School is making me crazy. I'm not used to studying, honest! I never did any work outside of class once during my senior year in high school...I did it all during my computer networking class. You could sit there all hour looking at porn on the internet and still get an A (or, maybe thats why you get an A, who knows!). But, even though I'm only in General College, I can't quite be that way anymore. I have a chem exam on Monday and a US literature exam on Wed., argh!

Man, Jesse Ventura did it again. Every other month he says something moronic, and retracts it the next day. Now in an interview by Playboy he's really gone apeshit. Saying that religion is a cruch for the weak-minded, and worse! But now he's saying that it was out-of-context, and he only meant the Religious Right. Naturally the media loved this, and went nuts with it. I think it's kinda cool to see a politician who really speaks his mind and doesn't pander to the public. Although I'm starting to get the feeling he's only doing it to cause controversey and generally annoy people. I don't mind that, either!
